Engineering with Experience and Innovation
JPP consulting - Civil & Structural Engineers
The Practice
The John Parkhouse Partnership (JPP) was established in December 1973 providing a wide range of Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy services to a broad client base. In 2004 the Principals of the expanding partnership (JPP) restructured the practice by incorporating the business into a limited company and appointing further executive directors, from when the former partnership commenced trading as JPP Consulting Limited.
Practice Structure
The current Company structure comprises a board of six shareholding Directors, with each Director taking responsibilities for directly managing a design team on projects under their control. The management of each of these design teams is augmented by an Associated Director, Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, and each team is formed into a compliment of qualified engineers/technicians and trainees, which would have relevant experience in the specific nature of the projects engaged upon.
Offices
In 2005 the Company, having out grown the previous accommodation, commissioned the construction of bespoke offices near Walgrave, Northamptonshire. Its central location and close proximity to the rail and motorway network as well as other transport links enables the Practice to operate nationwide from this base.
Associated Companies
In 1992 to compliment the existing services, Soiltechnics Limited was formed by the then Partners to provide specialist geotechnical and environmental advice to the in house project teams, however, Soiltechnics is independent from JPP Consulting.
Project Delivery
In relation to its design involvement the Practice has experience in providing services under all industry standard forms of appointment, whether acting directly on behalf of clients with traditional project procurement procedures or the increasingly popular Design and Build contract route. In respect of these appointments, the Directors and Staff take satisfaction from the partnering arrangements which have developed both with clients and the Design and Build contractors and recognise the benefits that a partnering philosophy engenders in the entire Project Team.
