Earthworks and Site Waste Management

In respect of site establishment we have the skills to determine the strategy for earthworks and the specification of materials and their suitability of end use. These skills extend to the evaluation of materials to identify the potential for recycling, and production of site waste management plans (SWMP).
We are also conversant with dealing with chemically contaminated sites and where appropriate determining remediation strategies, minimising impact on the environment.

Ground Level Modelling

Our investment in computer software allows the accurate optimisation of development site levels, maximising the area of developable land and where possible, reducing the need for retaining structures.

The ground level model determines earthwork quantities, minimises disposal of soils off site and accordingly contributes to a positive improvement on the developments environmental impact and construction costs.

Retaining Structures

Numerous systems and techniques are available to the designer in the construction of retaining structures and we use our experience gained over many years to adopt the most appropriate type to suit the development proposals or site constraints.

Bridges

With respect of bridge structures, we are able to design for a variety of uses and construction materials and where it is a requirement, to follow approval procedures in obtaining adoption from third parties such as highway authorities.
We also regularly undertake structural inspections and appraisals of bridges to identify defects and determine remedial measures.
